Huffington is to be president and editor-in-chief of a newly formed division called The Huffington Post Media Group, and will oversee all Huffington Post and AOL content, including Engadget, TechCrunch, Moviefone, MapQuest, AutoBlog, Patch and others.
“We have an opportunity to accelerate everything we’re doing very dramatically,” Huffington told Wired.com in a phone interview Monday. “Tim’s vision and my vision I saw aligned, including expanding our local reach and our original reporting.”
